Grafting and Pruning Workshop

Buena Fortuna Gardens invites you to a hands-on Grafting and Pruning Workshop designed for anyone interested in learning practical fruit tree care. Led by renowned permaculture educator Darrell Frey, this workshop offers approachable, experience-based instruction rooted in real-world application.​
The workshop focuses on essential pruning techniques to support healthy growth, structure, and long-term productivity in fruit trees, before moving into hands-on grafting, where participants learn to graft citrus varieties and take home their own grafted plants.

The sessions are practical, informative, and suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.​This workshop is an opportunity to learn useful skills, work directly with plants, and spend time in a supportive, outdoor learning environment. Space is limited to keep the experience personal and hands-on, and participants are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance.
Join us for a Heart Opening Cacao Ceremony at Buena Fortuna Gardens in La Ribera, Baja California Sur, on February 14th, 2026. Set within the lush surroundings of the gardens at sunset, this gathering is an invitation to slow down, connect, and honor love as a sacred force that binds us to one another and to life itself.
The evening will center around a traditional cacao ceremony, followed by a shared dinner, live drumming, and dance. Guided by rhythm, presence, and intention, the experience is designed to create space for reflection, connection, and celebration in a grounded, welcoming environment. Whether attending with a partner, friends, or alone, guests are invited to arrive as they are.
The ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. and is priced at $65 per person. Spaces are limited to preserve the intimacy of the experience.
