Buena Fortuna Botanical Gardens focus' on four main objectives:
Preserving plant variety for nutrition, beauty and knowledge
Edible Landscape Design: Consultations, planning, training and implementation.
Nursery Plants and Seeds:
Every region has a different season for gardening. Buena Fortuna Gardens is situated in the tropic of Cancer, with a dry tropical weather that allows 10 out of 12 months of gardening with emphasis of gardening and educational activities in the months between October to May. The end of the season is marked by the seasonal seed harvest and heavy tropical fruit harvests to then, rest for 2-3 months as the summer heat attracts tropical storms, which are also responsible for most of the rain water in this area.
Community work: We grow seeds to share with school and community gardens.
